i have no clue what any of this gorgeously shot, Brad Pitt starring commercial means. it reeks of a certain director. clue: his name rhymes with Sess Manderson.

definitely a better looking lot.  i don’t even care that they’re right on trend (as per usual) with the track. i’m still going to watch the next season of Skins with the same long-lasting fervor that took me through the first two seasons.

size matters
the New York Times has only ever used a 96pt font four times in it’s entire history.  the moon landings, Nixon’s resignation, 9/11, and (drumroll please)…  the election of Obama. somewhat scared to think of what the 100pt font is reserved for. thanks to contagious for this info.

loaders are generally just the buffer between you and the meat of any website. to the viewer and occasionally the client or agency, they’ve become an afterthought and even an annoyance. however, this site proves that they are often as unique and beautiful as the sites themselves. enjoy.

my director/photographer friend Arni Thor Jonsson is, you may have guessed, a native Icelandan? Icelander? Icelandian? i guess being a Thor in Iceland is like being a Mohammed in Mecca.  in any case, he’s from the isle of Iceland and takes some beautiful photos of his homeland. see them here. the photos certainly made me more aware of the gorgeous landscapes, but it was the recent...

Even CEO Can’t Figure Out How RadioShack Still in Business. i know headlines from “The Onion” are more prone to laughing than thinking, but this one actually made me nostalgiac for the era of home electronics stores. i remember when Radioshack and Consumers Distributing were the only places you’d consider looking for a hand held electronic game like “Tiger...

i love david thorne. if he’s not trying to trade overdue bills will a botched illustration of a seven-legged spider, he’s painting his legs ninja-black and coming to your party. his most recent tomfoolery revolves around a purchase or perhaps just a test drive of a BMW R 1200 in yellow-jacket yellow. if you have a few minutes and want to either learn about or relive what it’s like to be a suburban, jewish, basketball playing kid, here’s a great breakdown by Mcsweeny.   RECREATIONAL JEWISH YOUTH BASKETBALL: AN ETHNOGRAPHY. i was certainly akin to Joel “the shot” Sternberg… still got it
